Yep! Just threw ours out last night. I already have developed discoid lupus from black mold. Kept thinking I was having a flare up but took the cover off of my memory foam mattress last night and found a bunch of black mold and green mildew! My advice to anyone living in the Florida Keys is to avoid these mattresses because we have a huge amount of humidity. Black mold has destroyed my life! It is very dangerous!

What are the ways to make the platform breathable? I’m about to put one in my RV.

just a suggestion., get rid of the plywood platform and replace with slats of some sort.

Can I sleep on a memory form after 5 hours of letting it expand?

Now the new disaster waiting to happen or is already happening to some is fiberglass particle infiltration or leakage from their factory mattress cover that contains up to 60% fiberglass like mine does. I just bought a Zinus 8" spa sensations memory foam mattress from Walmart three or four days ago. Neither Walmart or Zinus will do anything to remedy the situation or refund the mattress. Apparently there's a lawsuit against Zinus regarding this problem. Check out the UA-cam videos concerning this problem and beware.

So let me get this right sorry, so your going to make the same mistake a third time after you've already replaced two memory foam mattress and not made the right breather holes or replace the wood completely with slats??? Why aren't you learning your lesson?

A good waterproof/water resistant mattress protector should of also helped out a lot 😉

Loved this!! We have a fur baby, Suzy. She is a long haired Chihuahua. She travels with us in our class A. I want to add a German Shepard to our family. I’ll know when I see him/her. I want a big dog for the same reasons you got Wy’East. She is ABSOLUTELY beautiful!!

No bueno on losing the memory foam mattress completely. Way to spot the mold source before more months went by. Your family is so awesome for sharing your experience with this complication to help others now and in future! I showed my sister this video seeing as she just got a purple mattress last weekend. She is reading all of Purple's care instructions more thoroughly to ensure it will be properly protected and stay within the company's warranty guidelines. She wasn't aware of aspect of keeping the memory foam mattress directly off a flat wood bed base and maintaining a barrier between the mattress and the bed base. Myself as well. So you taught us something about this mattress type that we were totally not aware of. :) :)

Focusing on 1 RV renovation project a week seems way more achievable and way less stressful than keeping track of the progress on multiple ongoing projects each week. My mom has done wallpapering jobs in the past. Tons of challenges can come up as the project is in the works. I helped her and I give ya'll props for DIYing it. Well done on Jude's room spot completion! Uber adorable!

Vitamin C daily will help get the mold out of your bodies. The clearing your throat and hoarseness is from mold spores. Get Air purifier too.

Wallpaper will grow mold. You guys also should be away from that RV and remove all stuff contaminated with mold. Do it new. It's very dangerous to your health.
